KaarbonTech has donated some of its android tablets to Julia’s House, the Dorset and Wiltshire children’s Hospices charity.
Julia’s House is the only children’s hospice charity in Dorset dedicated to helping life-limited children and their families across Dorset and Wiltshire. The charity offers regular respite sessions at its hospice in Corfe Mullen, Dorset, and in families’ own homes in Dorset and Wiltshire. They also run events for siblings and mums and dads – they support the whole family.
As technology changes so fast, KaarbonTech found itself with a number of Samsung android tablets that had been replaced with newer models. Rather than dispose of these, Mark Entwistle, Managing Director, contacted Julia’s House to see whether the devices would be able to help the children in any way. Julia’s House were very pleased to hear about the tablets as they will help the youngsters keep up to date with games and internet browsing.
Mark Entwistle said: “We are pleased to be able to support – in this small way – the care provided to children and their families by Julia’s House. I hope the tablets will help children to enjoy games, encourage interaction and socialise whilst they are receiving respite care at Julia’s House.”
