I bring loyalty, happiness and hard work.
My name is Kim and I work for Kaarbontech and I'm a drainage surveyor.
I started in January 2024 with Kaarbontech. I'm a people person, so I'm passionate about people. I've just got people all around me and I just enjoy working with people.
My day to day role within Kaarbontech is to map out the gullies within the area that I'm working.
The highlights for me so far are events like the next steps to see what goes on behind scene and to meet everybody, just to see what goes on and how we get the work that we get.
My hobby is I love to garden. I love to look after old people. I love to look out for other people. I'm just a people person. I love to socialize.
The things that might surprise people is I can talk like Donald Duck.
Kaarbontech is where I want to be.
What I love most about my job is being able to survey the gullies, give back the important information that's required from us, and to be outside in the fresh air and to meet members of the public that ask us questions
on a daily basis.
I'm proud to say that I work for Kaarbontech.
Introducing Kim Palmer, a Highways Drainage Surveyor whose energy, empathy, and dedication shine through every day she’s out on the road.
Hard Work Meets Heart
Joining KaarbonTech in 2024, Kim brings a people-first attitude to everything she does. She’s proud to be part of a team that values her efforts — and in return, she brings loyalty, positivity, and a strong work ethic to the role.
On the Ground, Making a Difference
Kim’s role focuses on surveying and mapping gully locations to feed back accurate, essential data. Whether she’s identifying issues on site or answering questions from the public, her work forms a critical link between real-world drainage assets and how they’re managed.
Part of Something Bigger
One of the highlights for Kim has been attending internal company events — where she’s gained a better understanding of how survey data is used and what happens behind the scenes. It’s this connection to the wider mission that drives her passion for the job.
People, Plants and… Donald Duck?
When she’s not out surveying, you’ll probably find Kim in the garden, chatting with friends, or supporting those around her — especially older members of her community. And for those who don’t know… she can also do a surprisingly good Donald Duck impression.
In Kim’s Words:
“What I love most about my job is being able to survey the gullies, give back the important information that’s required, and to be outside in the fresh air meeting members of the public.”
