My name is Ed Cull, and I’m a Market Insight and Engagement Coordinator at KaarbonTech.
In my previous role, I worked closely with local authorities, which gave me a good understanding of how the industry works and how local authorities are structured across different regions of the UK.
What excites me most is being able to speak to people across the industry, hearing their expertise and different perspectives. I really enjoy interacting with a wide range of roles, from directors through to the people on the ground carrying out surveys.
One of my key strengths is time management. My dad works in the Navy, so being organised and disciplined with time has always been important. I’m good at juggling multiple things, whether that’s coming off one call and heading straight into another, or keeping track of different conversations and opportunities at the same time.
Outside of work, one of my biggest hobbies is hockey. I’ve been playing for around 13 years now as a defender, which can be a bit of a dangerous role with the ball flying past at speed, but I really enjoy it.
I also enjoy hiking, particularly around the UK, with North Wales and Snowdonia being favourites.
Something that might surprise people is that I used to keep a book where I wrote down every film I’d ever watched, including the date and who I watched it with. My record year was 356 films.
