Our vision is to help communities thrive, providing our customers with innovative tools to drive future progress. Our people enable us to do that.
We are looking for a structured, curious and detail-oriented individual to help us better understand how our customers actually operate; not in theory, but in practice. This customer-facing role focuses on structured discovery and requirement capture, helping us understand how local authorities and other organisations work day to day, where they struggle, and what constraints they operate under.
KaarbonTech is a leading data and software company specialising in managing highway and infrastructure assets for local authorities across the UK. Our SMART technology, combined with efficient and collaborative working practices, enables us to significantly enhance our customers’ operational efficiency. We work with councils to help them manage complex infrastructure such as drainage, highways, trees and green spaces, combining software, data, surveying and advisory services to support better decisions, reduced risk and improved resilience.
The successful candidate will enjoy understanding how things work, asking the right questions, and turning conversations into clear, structured insight. You’ll play an important role in helping our internal teams work from accurate, grounded information rather than assumption, supporting better commercial, product and service decisions across the business.
This is a consistent, process-led role suited to someone who is analytical, organised, curious and comfortable working across multiple conversations and workstreams. You won’t be selling products or designing solutions. Your role is to make sure we properly understand the problem before anything else happens.

Continuously improving how we run discovery, refining questions, templates and outputs.
Strong analytical and organisational skills.
Excellent listening and questioning ability.

Comfortable managing multiple conversations and workstreams.
Experience in an analytical, research or coordination role.
