We are seeking a meticulous, self-driven individual to join our dynamic team as a Marketing Assistant. This role is pivotal in amplifying our brand presence and supporting our marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, with the capacity to scale their working hours in line with business growth and event schedules.
KaarbonTech is a leading data and software company specialising in managing highway assets for local authorities across the UK. Our innovative smart technology, combined with efficient and collaborative working practices, enables us to significantly enhance our customers’ operational efficiency. We currently collaborate with over 40% of local authorities in England, automating geo-location, inspection schedules, and defect tracking to optimise maintenance planning and cost management.
Location: Remote (United Kingdom) with occasional travel for events and meetings. While the role is remote, being based within reasonable travel distance of Bournemouth is preferred, to support in-person event preparations such as exhibition setup and materials coordination.
Hours: Part-Time (20 hours per week) with potential to scale up to Full-Time (37.5 hours per week) as business needs grow. Flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Develop and manage engaging content for social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn. This includes crafting posts, articles, case studies, and other relevant materials to enhance brand visibility.
Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing both internal and external events. This encompasses organising company-hosted events and supporting participation in conferences, expos, and seminars. The role requires occasional travel to represent KaarbonTech at these events.
Client Engagement: Comfortably engage with prospective and current clients during events and over the phone/email, effectively representing the company and fostering positive relationships.
Video Production: Collaborate on the creation of marketing videos. Being comfortable in front of the camera and assisting in video production processes is essential.
Market Research: Conduct research to extract insights from the marketplace, aiding in the development of marketing strategies and sales materials.
Skills and Qualifications:
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Content Development: Proficiency in creating compelling content tailored for various platforms.
Event Management: Experience in planning and executing events, with the ability to handle logistics and coordinate with stakeholders.
Client Interaction: Comfortable engaging with clients and representing the company at events.
Video Production: Experience or willingness to participate in video content creation, including on-camera appearances.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and presentation software like PowerPoint.
Adaptability: Ability to self-manage, prioritise tasks, and adapt to evolving business needs.
Interest in Sustainability: A keen interest in climate change, blue and green infrastructure, and sustainable practices is desirable.
