We are seeking a proactive, organised, and tech-savvy administrator to support the smooth running of our growing business. This part-time role provides flexible support across the company, helping maintain accurate information, coordinate internal workflows, and ensure teams have what they need to operate efficiently.
KaarbonTech is a leading data and software company specialising in managing highway assets for local authorities across the UK. Our innovative SMART technology, combined with efficient and collaborative working practices, enables us to significantly enhance our customers’ operational efficiency. We currently work with over 40% of local authorities in England, helping them automate asset inspection, maintenance planning, and risk-based decision-making.
The successful candidate will enjoy structured tasks, be comfortable learning new systems, and take pride in keeping things organised. You’ll support several areas of the business, including the leadership team, survey operations, and sales & marketing, contributing to the day-to-day coordination that keeps the company running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Support the leadership team with preparing information packs, collating background details, and ensuring key documents are accessible and up to date.
Prepare and format documents, summaries, and internal materials used across different teams.
Assist with coordination for company events, meetings, and team activities (online and occasional in-person).
Complete general business information requests regarding tenders, procurement, contracts and compliance.
Maintain and update CRM and internal systems to ensure records, documents, and activity logs are accurate and well organised.
Help manage simple workflows such as logging actions, tracking progress, and supporting follow-ups to ensure tasks stay on schedule.
Provide general administrative support across the business, adapting to evolving priorities as the company grows.
Skills and Qualities
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Tech-savvy and confident using digital tools, including Microsoft 365 – Excel, Teams, Outlook & Powerpoint - and CRM systems.
Clear communicator who is comfortable asking questions and clarifying information.
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage routine tasks consistently.
Adaptable and supportive, with a positive approach to helping multiple teams.
Desirable Experience
Previous experience in an administrative or business support role.
Previous experience working for, or alongside local authority, local government or public sector organisations.
Experience supporting managers or multiple teams in a fast-moving environment.
Salary and Details
Salary: £27,500 pro rata (depending on experience).
Location: Remote (UK-based) with occasional travel for events or team meet-ups.
Hours: Part-time - 12-24 hours/per week.
