We are running a series of continuing professional development sessions for businesses and organisations to explore the increasing commercial role of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).
Capita, Royal Haskoning and Atkins are just three of the major companies we have visited recently. The picture shows the team running a seminar for Capita.
The CPD sessions are tailored to meet the interests of each company and cover both the design and operational technology of the aircraft as well as the software options for analysing the collected imagery and data. Audiences have been surprised to learn that organisations as diverse as the National Trust, WOMAD music festival and energy renewable energy firms have all used aerial surveying.
Exploring the range of ways in which aerial survey imagery and data can be recorded, shared and viewed opens new possibilities for asset management.
Attendees’ professional expertise and knowledge has been expanded to include knowledge and familiarity with volumetric measurement, topographical drawings, master map alignment and point cloud generation.
Get in touch to discuss how a session could expand the knowledge of your staff and contribute to their ongoing professional development.
