Highway Surveyor – Dorset

This contract involves collecting information about highway assets in Dorset and the surrounding areas using tablet devices in the field. The work includes initially attending specific location, photographing and reporting on the condition of highway drainage and ditches. Ongoing opportunities may exist within the company beyond this contract for the right candidate after the 6-8 month contract.

A candidate with experience of using data collection devices and smart phones would suit this position well. For those without this experience full training will be provided. The candidate should have access to a vehicle to get to any given location in the Dorset area and be comfortable driving a quad bike if needed. A LANTRA 12D T1 qualification and/or any experience in the drainage industry or highway maintenance would be beneficial but not essential.  Applicants should be physically fit as there is a large amount of walking involved in the position.

There will be no upper restriction on the number of hours worked in a working day/week but a minimum of 9 hours per day is required. Hours are flexible and additional weekend working is always available. Any operational, travel or subsistence costs incurred as part of this exercise will also be fully reimbursable.

Technical Support and Software Tester – Home/office based Bournemouth area
