KaarbonTech has been highly commended at the 2015 Association for Geographic Information awards for the best use of geospatial for business benefit.

The annual awards showcase and celebrate the highest standards of GI and innovation across the geospatial industry in the UK.
Managing Director, Mark Entwistle said, “Having won the award in 2014, to this year be specially commended out of a field of 24 high quality entrants is a great compliment.”

The commendation related to a joint project with Leica Geosystems which combined Ordnance Survey data, Android technology and GNSS hardware to deliver a more accessible and simplified geospatial data collection. The resulting Leica Zeno 20 is the first android device to collect survey data to less than 5cm accuracy. This combined with the ability to wirelessly download Ordnance Survey topographical mapping adds further flexibility to the solution.
